The family and I had a great trip a couple of weekends ago. We took a little trip to Gardnerville, Nevada to check out the New Grocery Outlet. They had fun prizes giveaways and the all-important balloons.
You haven’t been to a Grocery Outlet yet? Well, you might just be missing out on some pretty sweet deals. I was happy to meet with the Jamie, the district manager who was able to take some time to talk with me about all the great things the Grocery Outlets stores have to offer.
Grocery Outlet is a non-traditional retailer because it is able to make cash purchases from vendors of over-produced products, package mistakes/past promotions and test market flavors. In return they are able to pass those savings on us, the shopper; savings is up to 50-70%! Let me tell you, as a parent of six hungry kids, saving money at the grocery store is incredibly important.
We found fresh produce like huge artichokes, Mangoes, apples and much more…
So if you are looking to save a lot of money on not only foods but quality non-food products then Grocery Outlet could be your store. I found many tempting goodies… everything from wines to cook with, clothes to wear, Back-to-school supplies, a cake display and cleaning supplies because you know I’m never done doing that!

The Grand Opening is over but the savings don’t stop. There are 5 stores within the Northern Nevada area including Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Lemmon Valley and now Gardnerville.
