New Year’s Eve is a time of excitement and dreaming of what the next year will bring. For children, it is no less exciting and they desperately want to participate in the day’s events. My youngest kids will go to bed at their regular time, but as they get older I tend to let them stay up longer. To remedy the glossy look in their eyes that only boredom and fatigue can bring, we have New Years Activities.
We start out making delicious snacks for everyone to enjoy. We fill time with a lot of games like Uno, Crazy 8’s, GoFish and board games like Sorry. That takes up a good amount of time, but it is never enough. I think we can all use some more ideas. Here are some fun crafts and printable activities that should keep the kids entertained:

My favorite thing to do is help the kids reflect on the past year and ask them what they look forward to this year. Ask them how they can accomplish those goals.
